FOOD INDUSTRY
The food and beverages expenditure in the Muslim world will reach 21.2% of global consumption (2,5 billion dollars) in 2019. The most requested products are: vegetables (50%), processed food (33%) and animal products (17%). 85% of animals and meat consumed in Muslim countries comes from non OIC countries (Organisation of Islamic Coopération).

Muslim tourism expended 140 billion dollars in 2013 (11.6% from total) and it is expected to reach 238 billion dollars on 2019 (UNWTO). "It is one of the most dynamic tourism markets", stands out John Kester, Market Trends director at the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). ExpoHalal Spain 2016 highlights Halal and Muslim Friendly tourism: traditional tourism, shopping tourism, health and medical tourism and business tourism.

LIFESTYLE
Fashion, beauty, wellness... The Halal concept goes far beyond the agro food industry and applies to the daily life of Muslims and non-Muslims. The emergence of Muslim fashionistas creates new opportunities and challenges for the global apparel industry while multinationals face significant challenges from competitors in Halal niches as cosmetics (Euromonitor).
